Dr. Mark Sargent

Dr. Sargent was raised in Central and Eastern Oregon, graduating from Heppner High School. In 4-H, Mark's primary project was sheep, having a flock of ewes and raised lambs each year. Due to a strong interest in why his lambs would get sick, he decided to become a veterinarian. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Sargent joined the Oregon Trail Veterinary Clinic as a mixed animal practicioner. He has recently been spending a greater amount of time in small animal practice, taking special interest in dermatology, senior care, and dentistry. In his off-time, Mark enjoys Bible study, volunteering at his church, white water rafting, and home improvement projects. He is married and has two sons: Ben, a college graduate who lives in Hermiston, and Tim, who is a Senior in college. Mark has a lab-blue heeler mix named Rollie, and a cat named Emily.
Dr. Brent Barton

Dr. Barton has been in the practice for over 20 years. In 1988, he graduated from vet school at Oregon State University. From 1991 to 1993, he served in the US Army Veterinary Corps Service, as a part of Operation Desert Storm. Dr. Barton has had mixed animal practice experience previously in Burns, Oregon and Three Forks, Montana. The most important things in his life are faith, family, and of course fun. He enjoys spending time fishing and doing other outdoor activities. When it comes to veterinary medicine, Dr. Barton is especially interested in small animal medicine, ultrasonography, equine critical care, bovine reproduction, and draught horses.
Dr. Kyle Henrikson

Dr. Henrickson grew up on a small farm/ranch in Roseburg, Oregon. He decided he was going to become a veterinarian in the 1st grade. He has always enjoyed working with animals and their owners. He attended Eastern Oregon University, majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. He attended veterinary school at Oregon State University, and graduated in June of 2008. In July of 2008, Dr. Henrikson and his wife moved to Hermiston and he started working at OTVC. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, rafting, and any other outdoor activity.
